Pandemic Supply Problems – Still an Issue?

Pandemic Problems

Over the last couple years, Valley Design and much of the world was affected by the drastic supply chain and material shortages. In particular, certain sizes of steel and electronics were in high demand and very difficult to source. If you could find them, you were likely paying a premium. The shortages and high demand of products left Valley Design struggling to fill orders in a time frame our clients are accustomed to.

Facing the Problems Head-On

In an effort to combat the issues the pandemic caused, the team at Valley Design relied on our large inventory levels and network of domestic suppliers we were already using to help come up with ways to more efficiently source different material and supply options to keep turnaround times as short as possible. By working closely with our American suppliers, we were able to keep better tabs on lead times while ensuring that products were still the quality that we uphold ourselves to offering, whether it was raw materials, product sub-components, or metal. Throughout this process, we also increased our workforce when applicable to fulfill orders quickly as materials arrive, and of course heightened our communication with our clients to ensure that you knew what we knew every step of the way.

Current State of Affairs

Valley Design is pleased to announce that all supply chain and aluminum shortage issues have been resolved and lead times are back on par with the pre-pandemic times.
