For the past 11 years Valley Design’s Employee Sharing Tree has made donations to Christmas in Fillmore County and the Fillmore County Food Shelf. Every year has seen employee donations grow and this year was no exception.
The Sharing Tree kicks off each year with a canned food donation at the time of our company Thanksgiving dinner and it grows from there. This year was made even more special with Valley Design matching employee donations times two, resulting in a grand total of $14,160.33 which was used to purchase groceries, gift cards, and the balance in a cash donation.
On December 14th Valley Design employees delivered this year’s donations to both Christmas in Fillmore County and the Fillmore County Food Shelf.
The first stop was Christmas in Fillmore County, we left toys, stuffed animals, coats, mittens and other goodies. In addition, Valley Design’s Employee Sharing Tree presented Christmas in Fillmore County with 240 gift cards totaling $6,000.
The next stop was the Fillmore County Food Shelf. Employees unloaded 7730 pounds of food along with a cash donation of $6,121.22.
Adding to the excitement of giving the Fillmore County Food Shelf a $6,121.22 cash donation we were informed that an outside corporate group was matching our $6,121.22 cash donation. The matching funds will be used to assist households in crisis in Freeborn County.
Looking ahead to 2018, Valley Design employees wish a blessed and healthy year to all.
