Hard to believe that the employees of Valley Design have been collecting and contributing Christmas donations for our annual Sharing Tree program for 17 years now! The Sharing Tree assists the Fillmore County food shelf and local families in need with Christmas gifts, clothing, food, and monetary donations year after year and we couldn’t be more proud of how generous and caring our crew is.
This year, Valley Design delivered multiple boxes and bags full of warm jackets, boots, hats, and gloves to the Coats for Kids Program, to help area children stay warm this winter. Our team also delivered bags full of donated toys and clothes to the Christmas in Fillmore County program, and sponsored gifts for 22 different kids. On top of all that, 140 $25 gift cards were also donated to the program.
Our team also collected canned goods, cereal, pasta, and more throughout November and loaded up one of our trucks to deliver a total of 4,156lbs. of food to the Fillmore County food shelf – along with a check for $6,600!
With our employee contributions along with matching funds from Valley Design, our 2023 Sharing Tree raised a total of $10,000 in monetary funds, delivered more than two tons of food, and hopefully made dozens of area families’ Christmas season a little merrier.
