Our Customer Service Manager, Rachel Glende, wears many hats at Valley Design, but one role that is especially close to her heart and our staff is coordinating our Annual Sharing Tree campaign.
Although many might think this work is only during the holidays, Rachel’s commitment extends year-round. She approaches it with dedication, care, and genuine passion, making a real difference in our community.
Each month, Rachel collects donations from our “Be the Change” campaign located at each vending machine where employees can donate their spare change.
She works closely with the Fillmore County Food Shelf, providing quarterly contributions to help keep shelves stocked and support those in need throughout the year.
Planning for the holiday season begins early. The Sharing Tree officially kicks off in October, with Rachel coordinating child sponsorship sign-ups and donations for the annual coat drive.
Excitement builds with events like our Chili Cookoff and the ongoing employee food drive, with donations continuing through November.
All food and gifts are collected by early December to ensure timely delivery, and Rachel coordinates with local grocery stores, retailers, and her support team to make sure every delivery goes smoothly.
We are incredibly grateful for Rachel’s leadership, dedication, and countless hours devoted to making this program a success year after year.
