Bring Your School Tour to Valley Design

Are you looking for an exciting and educational opportunity for your students to see behind the curtain of a local manufacturer? Then bring your class to our Fountain, MN facility for a school tour! After decades of working in powder coating and table base manufacturing, we are passionate about sharing our knowledge and experience with the next generation. Through our manufacturing tours, your students can…

1. Be Introduced to the Industry
During a school tour at Valley Design, your class can get a first-hand introduction to the manufacturing industry and the day-to-day operations of our metal fabricating plant. Walking through the facility, your students will have the opportunity to learn and ask about the manufacturing processes that go into making our high-quality table bases and components.

2. See Behind the Scenes
With this inside peak into manufacturing operations, your tour group will be able to watch our talented technicians as they create table bases that can be found holding up tables across the nation. From learning the importance of safety procedures to seeing our robotics engineering capabilities and high-efficiency machinery such as our TruLaser Tube 3000, your students will be able to ignite and/or foster their interest in manufacturing and machinery in a safe and educational environment.

3. Open Doors for the Future
For those who leave our facility tour wanting to gain further experience in manufacturing, we do have summer positions for students as young as 16 years old to gain hands-on experience and prepare for a career in the industry. This experience extends to internship opportunities in sales, engineering, and supply-chain management for our returning summer help students.

With our school tours, you can expose your students to the many options and opportunities waiting for them in the manufacturing industry and the trades. If you would like to learn more about this educational experience or to schedule one for your school group, please visit our website or contact our Human Resource Manager.
